Although neither the private nor the group MyColosseumTours include pick-up and/or drop off in hotel (there is a designated meeting point), our MyColosseumTour staff can arrange private car services at your request. Just use the Contact Form on the Contact Us page.

We can offer private tours in Spanish or in other languages upon request, and pending the availability of a guide who speaks the language requested. At this time we do not offer group tours in languages other than English.

The tours meet at a location very close and convenient to the entrance of the Colosseum. Full details about the exact location are disclosed on your confirmation voucher when you book your tour online.

With a private tour you have a private guide, just for your group who can cater more personally and directly to the interests of your party. You are more free to move at your own pace and there is much more flexibility with the itinerary and timing of a private tour. Group tours include no more than 25 people per guide and are composed of mixed parties.

Transfers from Civitavecchia on average take 1 hour and 30 minutes, so that is cutting it very close. Depending on the day of the week and the amount of traffic you encounter you may arrive with plenty of time to spare or you may arrive very late. Since we cannot refund late arrivals please consider carefully before booking a tour.

It depends. Our tours exit the Colosseum and Palatine Hill to finish in the Roman Forum. From the ending point (the end of Via Sacra within the Forum) you cannot re-enter the Colosseum without waiting in the line and purchasing an additional ticket. Visitors are however able to re-enter the Palatine Hill at their leisure using the same ticket. While our tour covers all venues quite thoroughly and most customers don’t feel the need to go back and retrace their steps, if you book a private tour we may be able to arrange it so that the tour ends in the Colosseum or Palatine Hill and not in the Roman Forum.

We can accommodate wheelchairs only for private tours. In group tours we cannot because wheelchair users must take alternate routes to move about. If you do decide to book a private tour, you must provide your own wheelchair and alert the MyColosseumTour staff of your special requirements. Please note that access to the Roman Forum is very limited to wheelchair users, but we are able to offer an alternative itinerary around the periphery.

The price is all-inclusive: skip-the-line entrance to Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum, entrance tickets, reservation fees, headsets, guide and tour. Our tours are very comprehensive and fun. They are three hours long and cover the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum thoroughly, with equal time allotted to each section of the tour. Highlights of the tour include: Stadium of Augustus, the Palatine Museum, View of Circus Maximus, Domus Flavia, Temples of the Vestal Virgins, Julius Ceasar and Saturn, the Basilica of Maxentius/Constantine, Arches of Septimius Severus and Titus, the Via sacra, and the Senate House.

You absolutely do not have to wait in line. We have a special entrance agreements with the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum which allow us to enter without waiting in line. We have our own accelerated security entrances for pre-booked groups which never last longer than a few minutes. (Everyone must go through security before entering the Colosseum).

You do not need to pick up or receive tickets. When you book online your browser will generate a confirmation voucher which you should print and bring to the meeting point at the start of your tour. Our website will also send you a copy of your confirmation voucher by email. Consider this your tour ticket.

There is none! Dress as you feel most comfortable, although we do make the request that our guests do not dress in a way that might make other tour participants feel uncomfortable.
